MAPLEWOOD, NJ – Hundreds came out to enjoy a beautiful fall day as the Springfield Avenue Partnership hosted its annual HarvestFest. Visitors enjoyed pony rides, pumpkin painting, face painting, a petting zoo, a bounce-house, crafts to do, crafts to buy, live entertainment and delicious food.
“We are just thrilled with the turnout, and the weather,” said Julie Doran, Director of the Springfield Avenue Partnership. “ Maplewood really came out to support these Springfield Avenue businesses.”
Live music was provided by: Maplewood Community Band; Nat Grauman and Lisa Rott & Friends; LaChaney’s Dance performance (a Springfield Avenue Merchant); Inspirational Dance performance (a Springfield Avenue Merchant); and Mood Ring.
“We really have to thank the bands that came out and played for us today at no charge,” Doran said. “Their performances gave us a great atmosphere and were the first ever in the new gazebo.”
Sponsors of the event were: Overlook Medical Center, Walgreens on Springfield, DCH Millburn Audi, Woolley Fuel, Inspirational Dance, Meineke Car Care Center on Springfield, Express Yourself Studios, Lorraine Labonne-Storch of Coldwell Banker Realty, Time to Clean, County to County Landscaping, and The Alternative Press.
